• Who is Icarus?

Icarus is the son of Daedalus, a talented and remarkable craftsman. Icarus and his father are at the palace of Crete, were They were imprisoned at the hands king Minos.
  • What’s the story?

In Icarus and his father’s attempt to escape from the palace of Crete, Daedalus makes two pairs of wings out of wax and feathers for himself and his son. Before their attempt to get off the island, Daedalus warned Icuarus not to fly too close to the sun, or too close to the sea. Soon after the warning Icarus took off in to the sky curiously, but while he was flying he came too close to the sun, which melted the wax. Icarus kept flapping his wings but soon realized that he had no feathers left and so, Icarus fell into the sea to his death. Daedalus knew that his son ignored his warning. Daedalus burned his son’s body in an the nearby island which is now called Icaria
